Triathlon Training ResourcesTriathlon ResourceWe understand that beginner triathletes come in all shapes and sizes and that there isn't a one-size-fits-all training solution. That is why the list below contains a handful of choices rather than only one.

For you tire-kickers who aren't ready to jump into training just yet, start off with our Beginner Triathlete Basics page to learn the essentials of what takes to navigate your way into the mini-triathlon world. It's written in non-technical terms to give the average Joe or Jane perspective on whether the sport of triathlon is for him or her.

Timeframe for Training:

The average person requires 6-9 months to train for a triathlon. In addition to being able to swim, bike and run properly, you'll need to be able to sustain these activities for roughly two hours...or more if you're goal is to compete in a distance longer than a sprint/mini-triathlon.
