First Triathlon Story - Heidi Kauffman
Just wanted to let you know about the 1st Tri I ever did. I did it because it was to benefit the program I direct. I had one goal – finish. Which I did, second to last. 🙂 But it was so fun I did the Go Girl in Indy 1 month later. It’s great for newbies because it is small and it is a pool not open water which can freak people out.

Thanks for the feedback, Heidi. Yes, the goal is to finish, and you did! Congrats! Great point on the pool triathlons. While we like to see people push themselves as much as possible, a pool triathlon creates a nice combination of physical challenge without the unpredictability of a lake or river swim.
