Hello!
I just competed in my first sprint triathlon! I used many resources from your site and would love to have a triathlete profile. I’m not sure what information you need right away, but here is some:
*I am a 32 year old single mother of two wonderful kids, ages 7 and 4.
*I’m a 3rd grade teacher who works full time and gets in at least 5 training workout per week.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”4127″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]
*In the last year and a half I have overcome some pretty big obstacles in my life including a Melanoma diagnosis.
*I did this triathlon because I decided I could. I want people around me to know that if you put your mind to something, anything is possible!
*My triathlon was a “dry” tri……I kayaked instead of swam. The course was 6.5 river miles of kayaking, 8 mile bike and 3 mile run.
*I WON my division!!!! Of 23 women, I came in 1st and placed 8th out of 43 men and women in the kayak, bike, run division (the other division was canoe with 2 paddlers per canoe and then broken down into age groups).
*I am now training to do a traditional sprint triathlon in July.
