My "First Triathlon" Story - Overcoming Asthma to Compete
Hi!! My name is Cynthia Buchanan and I am 46 and 3 weeks ago I signed up for my FIRST Triathlon that is being held on December 3rd in Key West, Florida (where I live)
I begin reading your wonderful website and have been gaining confidence by doing so. I am not a good swimmer so I think that is the area that I will have to train most in.
have severe asthma and growing up I was always embarrassed by this and could not participate in sports because of it. Who know I would be a personal fitness trainer and group exercise instructor and a triathlete as an adult. I also have scoliosis but that never deterred me from exercise and being in many beauty pageants which most of them I won!! I am so excited to be in my first Triathlon……I hope I can do it!! I started training 2 weeks ago so I think I will be prepared by December 3
