Great question! We suggest you eat a breakfast that’s pretty bland and high in carbs several hours before the start of your triathlon. Grab a bowl of cereal or granola along with some orange juice. Between the carbs and sugar in both, you’re sure to have the energy you’ll need when you hear the gun.

One caution: Be sure to eat several hours before the race to avoid any unpleasent side effects during the race.
