Stretching Tips for Sore Muscles
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for contacting TriathNewbie.com. Without knowing what parts of your body are particularly sore, it's hard to give you specific advice. One piece of advice we CAN give you is to join a yoga class. One of our staff members, who has had chronic pain in her hips and neck, joined a yoga class last year and has had only rave reviews. There are different kinds of yoga classes. Check your local yellow pages or health insurance (sometimes they offer discounted classes through affiliate wellness centers) and see if you can find a reasonably priced class that suits your stretching needs. If you call the teacher before-hand, he/she can usually give you enough information to make an informed decision. In the meantime, check out this article about our staff member's first yoga class. Let us know how it goes! Be well, Jack Shaw |
